MarbleMazes Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MarbleMazes handles data when used on Reddit through Devvit.
Scope
This policy applies to data processed by MarbleMazes in connection with gameplay, board creation, leaderboards, cosmetic items, and related subreddit experiences.
Data We Process
- Reddit account and context data provided by the Devvit platform, such as your account identifier, username, and subreddit and post context.
- Gameplay and profile state, including onboarding progress, control calibration, sound and music preferences, daily streak, best rank, flawless clears, and boards published or crowned.
- Run results and times recorded against per board and per day leaderboards.
- Boards you build and publish, together with their names and your authorship.
- Notes and messages you choose to write in the app, which are also submitted as Reddit comments.
- The list of cosmetic items your account owns, whether earned in game or purchased.
- Gameplay telemetry through Reddit's own Devvit analytics, limited to session progress markers, developer-defined action labels, and whether a run was completed and its score. We do not place personal information into these events.
How We Use Data
- To run gameplay, scoring, progression, and daily streaks.
- To store your control and audio settings so the game behaves consistently for you.
- To build leaderboards and show times and rankings to other players.
- To host, display, and credit community boards and collections.
- To deliver cosmetic items you have earned or purchased.
- To operate moderator tools, including post creation and community review workflows.
- To prevent abuse, investigate issues, and improve reliability.
Purchases
Purchases of cosmetic items are processed entirely by Reddit through its gold and payments system. We do not receive, see, or store your payment method, card details, or billing information.
What we store as a result of a purchase is the identifier of the item your account now owns, alongside items earned through play. Where Reddit issues a refund, the corresponding item is removed from your account unless you had independently earned it.
Signed-Out Play
MarbleMazes is playable when you are signed out. In that case the platform may supply a logged-out identifier, which we use to save your progress so that a run started signed out can be carried over if you later sign in.
This identifier is provided by the Reddit platform, not created by us, and we do not link it to any information outside the app. It is never used for authorship, votes, reports, or comments, all of which require a signed-in account. If no such identifier is available, the game still plays and nothing is stored at all.
User Actions and Reddit Posting
When MarbleMazes posts or comments on behalf of a user, it does so only from explicit manual user actions. These actions are separate from core gameplay and are never triggered automatically.
Data Sharing
We do not sell user data.
Data may be shared only with:
- Reddit and Devvit infrastructure required to deliver app functionality.
- Law enforcement or regulators when required by law.
MarbleMazes does not send your data to external AI services, advertising networks, or third-party analytics providers. All storage and telemetry stay within Reddit's platform.
Data Retention
- Progress saved for signed-out play expires automatically 30 days after your last activity.
- Signed-in profile, leaderboard, and board data is retained while the app remains installed in the relevant community, so that streaks, rankings, and published boards continue to work.
- Short-lived operational keys, such as rate-limit cooldowns and cached rankings, expire within minutes.
Where practical, data is deleted or de-identified after it is no longer needed.
User Rights and Deletions
We aim to honor deletion and removal expectations under Devvit Rules and Reddit policies. If Reddit content is deleted, related app-side content should be removed according to platform policy requirements.

Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data and platform. App data is held in Reddit-managed storage and identity is resolved from signed platform requests rather than from values supplied by the browser.
Children
MarbleMazes is not intended for children under the minimum age required by Reddit policies and applicable law.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy over time. Updated versions are effective when published on this page.
